Titles, custom unlocks and mobile badges

Select earned titles, find the seventeen new progression milestones and permanently unlock your own custom title.

Progression at a glance Guide diagram
  1. 1Visit the manager

Find the Title manager at home near 3094, 3497.

  2. 2Preview requirements

Choose a row to check its milestone and locked state.

  3. 3Apply your title

Select an earned title or activate a Custom Title Unlock.

  4. 4Set your display

Custom text can be changed later; removing it keeps the unlock.

Visit the Title manager

Talk to the Title manager at home, near coordinates 3094, 3497, to view titles or remove your current title. Select a row to preview its requirement and then use Select Title to apply an unlocked title. A locked preview does not grant its unlock; your character must meet the requirement.

Existing titles and requirements still apply. Newbie is available without a progression requirement. Examples of earlier unlocks include Champion for winning a tournament, JalYt for completing the Inferno and Slayer Master for completing 50 Slayer tasks. Staff and donator titles continue to depend on their corresponding account ranks.

The seventeen new progression titles

The mode-based titles refer to your experience difficulty, separately from Ironman or other account restrictions. See modes and experience.

  • Pathfinder: play on Easy experience mode.
  • Adventurer: play on Intermediate experience mode.
  • Ironblood: play on Hard experience mode.
  • Loyal: accumulate 100 hours of play time.
  • The Dragonbane: defeat Vorkath 100 times.
  • The Toxic: defeat Zulrah 100 times.
  • Hellbound: defeat Cerberus 100 times.
  • The Xerician: complete Chambers of Xeric 50 times.
  • Bloodborne: complete Theatre of Blood 50 times.
  • The Pharaoh: complete Tombs of Amascut 50 times.
  • The Raidmaster: complete each of Chambers, Theatre and Tombs at least 25 times.
  • Webbreaker: defeat Araxxor 100 times.
  • Frostborn: defeat Amoxliatl 100 times.
  • Pactbreaker: defeat Yama 100 times.
  • Seafarer: reach a fixed Sailing level of 99.
  • Aleges Trailblazer: reach total level 2,000, including Sailing.
  • Slayer Legend: complete 500 Slayer assignments.

These titles read the character's saved levels, kill counts, completions and play time. They are cosmetic milestones, not stat bonuses or physical item drops. If a title's requirements no longer apply, it cannot remain selected simply because it was available earlier.

Unlock a custom title

The tradeable Custom Title Unlock, item 50010, permanently grants access to custom titles. Choose Activate, read the confirmation and select Yes to consume exactly one token. Choosing No keeps it. An account that already has custom titles unlocked keeps its token as well.

Return to the Title manager and choose Custom Title to enter or change your text. Use up to 12 characters. Blank text, formatting tags, control characters and reserved staff wording are rejected. Removing the displayed title does not remove the permanent unlock; you can select or change a custom title again later.

Activate in a safe location, out of combat and PvP areas, with no active trade or activity that blocks external reward claims. If the game reports that your account is saving, retry after saving completes. Bank placeholder 50011 is not a usable unlock token.

The supplied update does not assign a store product, price or drop source to this token. Refer to the actual current Aleges distribution announcement or store listing. It is separate from Activate Battle Pass: the title entitlement is permanent, while premium Battle Pass activation belongs to one season.

Where titles appear

Titles appear beside names in player menus, ordinary public chat and yells. Yells retain the player's existing rank colour. Titles do not change the account name used for friends, ignores, private messages or reports.

The Hide titles setting controls what you see; it does not change someone else's display preference. Earlier public messages keep the title shown when they were sent, so changing a title does not rewrite old chat lines.

The mobile phone badge

Supported mobile clients add a phone badge to the name display alongside existing rank icons. This identifies mobile play; it is not a purchasable item, unlock title or staff rank. It does not remove the existing rank icon or grant gameplay benefits.

The mobile badge depends on the compatible client and feature assets, and respects the player's icon-hiding state. Selecting a title does not grant a mobile badge to a desktop session. The website item catalog consequently does not list the phone icon as an obtainable item.
