Pass XP follows eligible actions
The Battle Pass uses its own seasonal XP. Ordinary skill experience, account XP modes and donation bonuses do not multiply it. Season 1 awards XP from the explicit lists below; an activity outside those lists does not qualify just because it gives combat, skilling or raid experience.
Eligible monsters: 5 XP per credited kill
The daily monster-source cap is 500 XP, equivalent to 100 qualifying kills. The current names are:
- King Black Dragon, General Graardor, Commander Zilyana, Kree'arra and K'ril Tsutsaroth.
- Zulrah, Vorkath and Amoxliatl.
- Abyssal demon, gargoyle, nechryael, greater nechryael and demonic gorilla.
The kill must be credited to your character. Player kills and unrelated monsters are not Battle Pass sources. An eligible kill can also advance a matching daily challenge; the ordinary kill XP and the completed challenge's bonus are separate awards.
Slayer assignments: 50 XP per completion
Finish assignments from Vannaka, Chaeldar, Steve, Duradel, Konar, Nomad or Mortimer. Their daily source cap is 300 XP, equivalent to six eligible completions. Receiving or skipping a task is not completing it. Normal and Demonic Perk Master assignments are separate systems and are not included in this list.
Gathering: 1 XP per successful observation
The shared daily resource-source cap is 300 XP across Woodcutting, Mining and Fishing. The supported gathers are:
- Logs: normal, oak, willow, maple, yew and magic.
- Ores and coal: copper, tin, iron, coal, mithril, adamantite and runite.
- Fish: raw shrimps, raw trout, raw tuna, raw lobster, raw swordfish and raw shark.
These are successful gathering actions, not purchases, trades, bank withdrawals or generic XP grants. One observed gathering event counts at most once, even if another effect gives extra items. Chopping, mining and fishing share the same 300-XP allowance.
Activity settlements: 100 XP each
The shared daily activity-source cap is 300 XP. Eligible completions are Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood and Corrupted Gauntlet, through their reward-settlement step.
Chambers includes its Olm-only and Challenge Mode reward routes. Theatre includes Normal and Hard mode; Entry mode does not count. Corrupted Gauntlet counts when its successful reward chest settles; normal Gauntlet is not in this season's list. Tombs of Amascut is not an ordinary Battle Pass XP source in this configuration.
A completion counts once for the season. Opening the same chest again, or waiting until a new UTC day to reopen it, cannot turn an old completion into another XP award. Read raid rewards and the minigame directory for the separate item rewards from those activities.
Six daily challenges from fourteen possible goals
Each UTC day gives six distinct goals from the configured pool below. Each completed goal awards 100 XP, limited only by the XP remaining before the season maximum. Matching gameplay advances the visible counter and completion grants the challenge XP automatically; it does not require a reward-item claim.
- Defeat 40 abyssal demons.
- Defeat 40 gargoyles.
- Defeat 40 nechryaels, counting both ordinary and greater nechryaels.
- Defeat Amoxliatl 10 times.
- Defeat the King Black Dragon 10 times.
- Defeat 10 God Wars generals, counting Graardor, Zilyana, Kree'arra and K'ril together.
- Defeat Zulrah 10 times.
- Defeat Vorkath 10 times.
- Successfully chop 150 eligible logs.
- Successfully mine 150 eligible ores or coal.
- Successfully catch 100 eligible fish.
- Complete 3 eligible Slayer assignments.
- Complete 2 eligible Chambers or Theatre raids.
- Complete Corrupted Gauntlet twice.
The gathering, Slayer and raid challenges use the same eligible lists described above. Goals are not filtered to your current levels or unlocked bosses. Some may require training or access you have not yet earned; a reroll is an alternative when available.
Three rerolls shared across the day
The six rows share three free rerolls per UTC day. Rerolling one unfinished goal discards that goal's progress and uses one of the shared three. It chooses a different goal outside today's current and discarded sets, so the discarded goal cannot return that day. Completed goals cannot be rerolled.
Completing all six does not immediately replace them. At 00:00 UTC, a new set becomes available and the shared reroll allowance returns to three. A goal from a previous day can appear again. Use the reset countdown in the game rather than your local midnight.
Understand the daily total
The four ordinary source caps total 1,400 XP: 500 from monsters, 300 from Slayer assignments, 300 from gathering and 300 from activity settlements. Completing all six challenges can add 600 XP, giving the overall 2,000-XP daily maximum. A challenge can still progress after its ordinary source's daily allowance is used up.
Chat reports task progress and completion. Progress is saved with your character and rewards remain separately claimable from the Rewards tab. Repeated or already-completed events do not create additional challenge rewards. At the final season XP threshold, earning stops increasing your pass total.
