Ground items and picking up loot

Understand item ownership, inventory space and why visible loot may not be available to your account.

Ownership matters

Ground items can be private, timed or public. Aleges checks whether an item was spawned for your account before allowing collection. Seeing an item does not mean that every account may pick it up.

Ironman restrictions

The ground-item handler prevents iron accounts from collecting items dropped by or for other players when the mode's ownership rules do not permit it. Group and encounter rules may add their own checks.

Inventory and looting bags

You need suitable capacity to receive loot. Some pickups can interact with the looting bag, and the game reports when bag or inventory space prevents collection. A second looting bag is also restricted.

Activity restrictions

Ground-item pickup is restricted during duels and while signed up for a tournament. Read the on-screen message when a pickup is rejected.

Do not use the floor as storage

Different spawn paths have different reveal and despawn behaviour. This guide intentionally does not promise a universal timer for dropped items. Use supported storage and check the action before dropping or destroying an item.
